Glenda Kay Williams, of Sarasota, Florida, transitioned from this earthly life on September 6, 2026. Born on May 18, 1950, to the late Frank and Catherine Williams, Glenda lived a remarkable life defined by faith, family, service, courage, and an unwavering commitment to her community.
Glenda leaves to cherish her precious memory her devoted husband, Ray Williams; her beloved son, Milton Williams, and daughter-in-love, Merilyn; her grandchildren, Devionte, Ah’Zsa, Milniya, Jaiden,Dishod, Michael, Dontrell, and Corde; her devoted bonus mother, Delores Williams; and her loving siblings, Frank Williams (Paulette), Keith Williams (Ora), Emmanuel Williams (Tammy), Presiding Elder Ronald Williams (Sharon), Phyllis Battie (Henry), and Raphael Williams (Presiding Elder Anita Williams).
She also leaves to cherish her memory, her dedicated spiritual parents, Paul and Willie Haygood, special cousins, Gerri Murdock, Rev. Adrienne McClendon, Bill Woodson, best friend, Alice Herrera; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, church family, class of 1968, community colleagues, and countless special friends whose lives were made richer by knowing her.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Catherine Williams, and her brothers, Donald Williams and Mike Williams.
Visitation will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Fri., Sept. 18, 2026 at Truvine Missionary Baptist Church. Services will be held 12:00pm on Sat., Sept. 19, 2026 at Truvine Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be held at Palms Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements by Jones Funeral Home.
