Lola was born on April 8, 1947 in Tangipahoa, Louisiana to her late father, Luther Walker, and mother Caretha Briggs Walker. She moved to Sarasota, Florida in the 1960s and it became her home.

Lola professed Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age. She was a member of Truvine M.B. Church until her health declined and she could no longer attend. She loved to cook and was known for her culinary skills. Her number one hobby was fresh water fishing.

Preceding her in death were her daughter Beatrice Marie Walker of Charleston, South Carolina; her parents, six sisters and five brothers.

She leaves to cherish precious memories of her: husband, Tommy L. Trice; daughters, Caretha Oliver, Sabrina Woods-Meggett (Rodney); sons, Quinton Walker (Utrico Feaster), Robert Woods (Kathryn); 29 grands, 9 great grands; sisters, Patricia Walker, Virginia McGowan, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Fri., Oct. 30, 2026 at Jones Funeral Home. Services will be held 1:00pm on Sat., Oct. 31, 2026 at Jones Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements by Jones Funeral Home.
