Mrs. Helen Rouse Walton, wife of the late Grady T. Walton, entered into rest Friday, October 30, 2026, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family.

She retired from Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home, affectionately known as “The Blue Goose” and Richmond County Board of Education.

She was a faithful member of Grace Street Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday School for many years.

She was surrounded by the best neighbors anyone could ask for, they watched out for one another.

Helen is survived by her children, Grady (Gwendolyn) Walton, Christine Walton Jackson, Loretta Walton (Johnny) Kinsey, Donald Walton and Tabitha Walton Jones, adopted daughter, Carolyn (Reginald) Jones; grandchildren, Demica, Jarvis, Grady III, Dziko, Donzel (Miche'), Roderick, and Joshua; great-grandchildren, and great-great grandson; sisters, Elease Snead and Lola Mae (Willie) Pugh; devoted cousin ; Sally M. Thomas; sisters-in-law, Barbara Walton and Mary Walton, and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives, church family and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, November 5th, from 3 pm to 6 pm, at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be 12:00 noon, Friday, November 6, 2026, at Church of Christ, 120 Grace Street.
