Clifford James Tucker, 56, was born on October 8, 1970, to the late George Tucker Jr. and Lillie Mae Tucker. On October 19, 2026, he passed away at Piedmont Hospital, where God called him home to rest.
Memorial Service will be held Thursday, November 12, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Home, James and Virginia Davis Chapel.
Clifford spent most of his life in Jefferson County, where he was an avid truck driver. Anyone who knew him will tell you he was the best trucker ever, especially behind the wheel of a stick shift. He drove for our very own family trucking company, T & T Trucking, and for many years drove for his late brother, George Tucker. He also worked for many other companies in the surrounding communities, including Schaffer Creek Trucking and Lamb Logging, until his health left him totally disabled and he had to step away from the work he loved.
Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, George Tucker Jr. and Lillie Mae Tucker; two brothers, George Glenn Tucker and Robert Lewis Tucker; and one sister, Vivian T. Lundy.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Tiffany Hobbs Tucker; one son, Clifford Tucker Jr.; two stepsons, Freddravious Hobbs and Damian Dixon; and one stepdaughter, Naveah Tucker, all of Augusta, Georgia; two brothers, Darrell Lynn Tucker of Glascock County and Larry Tucker of Louisville, Georgia; a host of sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relatives and friends. He also leaves behind three special nieces, Tabitha Tucker, Lealita Lundy, and Felicia Jordan, with whom he shared a special bond that will last forever.
Davis Funeral Home, 725 Beech Street is in charge of arrangements for Mr. Clifford James Tucker.
