A wonderful woman who worked tirelessly for children. A born teacher. I remember her holding my handicapped son Kendrick and saying "it's not hard to take care of this baby, anybody with any sense will know what he needs". I loved her spirit. She was always positive about everything. Found good in everyone and everything. Heaven has gained an angel. Love you Duke.

I remember when the school was trying to put my brother as if he was special needs but Mrs.Duke stepped in & said oh no y'all not fitted label this kid as that he's smart if you had time to see that you'll know & when she seen me grow up & had my own kids she always use to give us such love when we pass by it so much special things me & family can say Rest In Peace you were a real soldier

My deepest condolences to the Henderson's family during this time of bereavement. " Duke" as we called her is now rejoicing in the kingdom of God. She is seeing and doing those things we read about in the Bible. She is more alive in Heaven than she was here on earth. Yes, you will miss her but she still lives on. Aww. Auntie Duke was like the Sheriff in school. Everyone knew her and respected her, but most importantly loved her. She was like a mom to the Momless and and Aunty to those who didn't have good family. May she be remember for the souls she. Touched and get her crowns in the Lords Kingdom. Such a wonderful woman! She meant the world to our family. Our daughter adored her as did I. We loved her so much. She was the light of my day when I would pick my daughter up from after school at Jackson Elementary. She was so genuine. Oh, my heart breaks, but I am so very thankful we will see her again one day.
