Obituary For Walter George Roberts

Celebration of Life Services for Walter George Roberts of Jackson, Georgia will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2025, 12:00 PM at Rock Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 2051 Highway 42 South Flovilla, Georgia 30216. Reverend Roderick West, Eulogist and Reverend Brice Thurman, Presiding.

Remains will be placed in-state at 11:00 AM.
Interment: City of Jackson Cemetery, 485 W College Drive, Jackson, Georgia 30233.

Public viewing will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Henderson Funeral Services, 744 Brownlee Road, Jackson, Georgia 30233.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted and loving wife, Mary Ruth Taylor Roberts; two daughters, Teena Watson (Garland Grier) and Veneda Chante’ Roberts (LeBurnus); four beloved grandchildren, Derrick Watson (Brittany), Chelsi Simone Battle, Lauren Chelsey Roberts, and Lyon Roberts; and seven cherished great-grandchildren, Demarion Davis, Nevaeh Watson, Amaria Tarpley, Ja’Meona Douglas, Jada Douglas, Ja’Hara Douglas, and Jelani Battle.

He is also survived by one brother, Felton Roberts (Trellis); two sisters, Velma Weaver and Geraldine Watson (Eugene); sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Diane Roberts, Exie Roberts, Carolyn Roberts, Emma Head (Robert), Juanita Thomas (James), Stacey Watts, Roxie Taylor, Bertha Taylor, and Deloris Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and lifelong friends who were touched by his kindness and will forever treasure his memory.
