Shirley Jean Sutton

I was blessed to work with Mrs. Shirley at Holmes County Consolidated School District. She was a sweet, caring, and loving woman. When my dad passed she would send cards, text messages, offer words of encouragement, give me a scripture to read or whatever needed to keep me laughing and uplifted. When the weather was bad, she would call to make sure I arrived home safe to Yazoo City. She loved showing me pictures of her family that she loved dearly. After I stopped working for Holmes County nothing changed. We promised to stay in touch and did. The text messages, phone calls, scriptures, and words of encouragement continued until she took her rest. My heart hurts. I am thankful for the time spent with Mrs. Shirley and pray God's blessing on her family. She is already missed.
