My heart is truly saddened at the hearing of such a wonderful person and dear friend. West, as I called her, and I were teammates at Kennedy MS, her first teaching position. I sat in her interview and immediately connected with her genuine spirit and asked the principal to please hire her! Working with her was a dream! The students were all in love with her. She was just a great person! She always talked about her family, and they would purchase supplies, clothes, and food for our kids. Her entire family are givers expecting nothing in return. Back in the early 90´s, West and I would sponsor cultural and etiquette outings for our students. She being younger (than me) with much patience was always responsible for the entertainment. The kids loved her and so did all the teachers! She was simple the best! My sincere and deepest condolences to the West Family, Mimi Wiley Robinson

I'm sending my prayers, and condolences to the West family. Angie was my neighbor in Wildwood. I will always remember the compassion she extended to others and her beautiful smile. Rest peaceful my friend!

When we first came to the neighborhood, Angela was the first person we met. She walked right over to us and made us feel so welcome and even brought homemade fudge. Through the short time we were privileged to know her, she was a light and the embodiment of everything you hope for in a neighbor. We are so extremely saddened to hear of her passing and send all of our love and condolences to the West family. We pray that her memory will be a blessing to all she knew. God bless you. Angie as I always called her, she and I grew up together she was my childhood friend we lived across the street from one another and we would often be at each other's house we both attended John Hope Elementary and would walk to school together eventually I moved and she and I didn't see a lot of each other however I still never forgot my friend moving forward we found each other again on social media and we had planned to meet up for a girls day but we never got a chance to but I say that to say keep friends near because in a million years I would never have thought that she and I wouldn't get a chance to have that girl time again to Mrs.Diane Tiffany and Greg my sincerest condolences to you all, Angie was a gem and the kindest person you could ever have met she will definitely be missed.

I have so many memories of a 30 year friendship.Rest in heaven my dear sister no more pain your strength and prevalence will always be cherished and remembered. "Westworld" you lived life to fullest which is an inspiration to everyone love you my sister.

I only knew Angela for a short time, as I began working with her this year. But despite her persistent health challenges, she never failed to find every way imaginable to make an impact in our school. Whether it was taking on the "problem" children from other instructors, bringing extra snacks to keep us going, or picking up thoughtful little gifts for others, she never stopped brightening out days.

Personally, she mentored me, providing a wealth of resources and contacts in the field.

It is mind- boggling how much she did for me in such a short time, and how big a hole she is leaving in our hearts.

We will miss you so much

I met you as we were both students at The Fort Valley State. Whenever I saw you on "The Yard" or even at Homecoming we were both so happy o see each other. I am praying for your family and friends. I met West through one of her dear friends, Mia Mobley. They both went to Fort Valley University and I went to Albany State University, if you know about our rivalry you know! West was always beautiful, dressed to nines, kind, nice and informative on any topic we were discussing. I would always see her at functions that Mia was throwing. The last time I saw her was in April at Mia's birthday party and the big topic then was Student Loan forgiveness. West lead the forum and answered all our questions with humor and facts. I am extremely thankful to have met her through Mia! I ask that God wraps his arms around all her family and friends that loved and who will miss her dearly because they are all devasted. We ALL love West but God loves her best! Rest on beautiful Lady. Job well done...

Even if I used a zillion words to try to describe her, I would do her a disservice. It is impossible to articulate how much I admired her and how beautiful she was. West was radiant in appearance and spirit and regardless of what she was going through, she left little room for anything other than joy. She was a comedienne, sage, and queen. I never walked away from her without laughing, thinking, or dreaming. She uplifted everyone. Because of all that she had overcome, I was convinced that she was invincible. Her death is a loss for all who knew her. I am grateful that she graced my days and will keep memories of her forever tucked in my heart.

Condolences to the West family. Angela was more than a co-worker, she was a friend and always looked out for those around her, and if she knew your business, she kept it to herself. Angie, when I met you Leslie J. Steele (Dekalb County School System) in 2006, I was excited to work with someone just as tall as me:-) We had a ball hanging out on the weekends or after work. Our LJS family has (and continues to) stayed in touch over the years - it won't be the same when we have our next LJS get-together. You are truly an angel and someone with a beautiful spirit. You will be missed by everyone whose lives you touched, especially by me!
