"For I was a stranger, and ye took me in." — Matthew 25:35 ❦ When I arrived in this new world — desolate, alone, A wanderer bereft of solace, hearth, or home, 'Twas Auntie Mansa who unbarred her sheltering door, Whose heart, like Bethany's lamp, lit the unfamiliar shore; She gathered up this weary traveler from the cold, And clothed my trembling spirit in a kinship pure as gold. · ❦ · In kindness she received me, with grace beyond compare, And kindled in my bosom a courage I could scarce declare; The networks she did weave like tapestries of thread, Through highways stretched and byways where her steady wisdom led — To Charlotte's gentle Carolinas, by her hand I came to roam, And in her warmth, this foreign land was fashioned into home. · ❦ · When she rose to claim the threshold of her own Tate Place, She bore a living testimony of faith, of work, of grace; A house upon the rock of prayer, of patience, and of love, A sanctuary mirroring the Father throned above; She showed us by her labor what the willing heart can do When trust in God Almighty makes the impossible come true. · ❦ · Now Heaven hath received her — her earthly labor done, She rests beneath the banner of the Lion of Judah; Yet still the seeds she scattered take root and rise and bloom, In every soul she nurtured through gladness and through gloom; The lessons that she taught us, the love she freely gave, Outlive the breath of mortal days and triumph o'er the grave. · ❦ · Rest peacefully, dear Auntie — your radiant light remains In the hearts you so uplifted, in the love that still sustains; Until that morning trumpet calls the faithful to arise, And we behold thee shining in the City of the skies. ~❦~ IA. ❦ ❦ ❦

She was a beautiful person who I admired. Annie Grace always greeted me with a beautiful smile. I found myself gravitating to her because of her beautiful spirit and her energy and enthusiasm when we participated in the classes at Lithia Springs Senior Center.

Annie Grace will be truly missed. We are praying for her family during this difficult time. ♥️
