My Aunt Dorothy was a very special person. From as far as I can remember, my dad drove hundreds of miles from Cleveland, Ohio, to Atlanta every year on our 2 week break from school in December, and also 2 weeks on summer vacation. My dad made sure we knew our family in Atlanta. Grandmother, granddad, Aunt Helen and of course Aunt Dorothy. My mom and Aunt Dorothy were always pregnant at the same time, which made all of our cousins very close to us. Aunt Dorothy always made the best breakfasts: grits, eggs, sausage or bacon and toast. We always knew we had good eating at her house. She loved us, and we knew it. Everyone says my ways were like Aunt Dorothy's, loving but serious and to the point. My heart goes out to my cousins and I pray for their strength and unity in this trying time. I look forward to seeing my aunt again in the resurrection that Jesus promised, Acts 24:15 "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous". This is a promise from God, Jesus' father, soon to come.
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
