Soror Von, when I was informed of your passing I was literally speechless! You are a soror who can be considered as a major force in our chapter, you were everywhere doing everything. I will always remember your realness in engaging with others, you said what you said and moved on without malice or ill-will. You spoke up whenever a wrong needed to be righted and said your piece/peace with grace. You were the essence of a great Soror in our Sisterhood. Your earthly presence will be greatly missed but we know that your heavenly spirit will be with us forever. RIP Soror Von.

Von Odom was the member I called whenever I had a question about chapter or organization business, she generally had the answer but if she didin't she'd find out and get back to me and she did not forgetπ©·π. She was a kind, generous, sassy, classy authentic lady. She has left a legacy of love and action that will last forever more. Rest in Sweet Power

To the Odom Family,
Words cannot adequately describe how much our sister will be missed. She was one of the "Mothers" of our sisterhood. I have fond memories of doing what I could to intentionally get on his nerves, getting her worked up, and quickly running away as she got up from the table prepared to take me on. All anyone could see of me was the back of my head and my elbows. She could and would set you straight in a heartbeat and was excellent at her roles. We all learned so much from her about leadership and service to others. I count myself blessed to have known her and will sorely miss her. May her soul ascend to heaven and may a piece of her spirit live on in each of us for eternity.
Our sincerest condolences to our neighbor and mother, Mrs. Myrtle Johnson Odom. She was so much more than a neighborβshe treated us like her own children. My wife, Mesh, and I are deeply saddened by this loss. Thank you for the love you poured into our lives over the past 19 years. May God continue to bless you in heaven, just as you blessed so many here on earth.
We love you, Mother Von. π€
She will forever be my favorite teacher. Von was my mom in 1989. She will be missed.
