Obituary For Thedda Ann Edwards

Thedda Ann Edwards passed on May 12, 2025. She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Nichelle Stephens, and proud grandmother to Brianna Stephens. A 1966 graduate of Carver High School in Columbus, GA, Thedda earned her B.S. in Education from Tennessee State University and her M.S. in Education from Troy State University.

She served in a variety of roles throughout the Atlanta University Center, working tirelessly to ensure that students had the resources to succeed. A dedicated member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Atlanta, Thedda also gave her time to the Southwest Ecumenical Emergency Assistance Center (SWEEAC) and was an active Life Member of the Tennessee State University National Alumni Association (TSUNAA). Her legacy is one of service, strength, and commitment to community.

The Memorial Service will be on Saturday, May 24, 2025, 11:00 AM at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 17 Fairburn Rd. SW Atlanta, GA 30331.

A Public Viewing will be on Friday, May 23, 2025, 2PM-6 PM at Alfonso Dawson Mortuary, 3000 M. L. King Jr Dr SW Atlanta, GA 30311.
