Obituary For Birdie Chisolm

Funeral services for Miss Birdie Lee Chisolm, 61, of 1282 Boundary Street Apt- 823 Fairfax, SC will be held 12:00 noon Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Paul Chapel Baptist Church with Reverend Nathaniel Polite officiating. Burial will follow in the Priester Cemetery Ulmer, SC.

Birdie was the daughter of the late Delores Chisolm Corbin. She was born on February 4, 1959 and departed this life on Monday, February 24, 2020.

“Birdie” as she was affectionately called by her family and friends was educated in the Worchester County Public School system. She attended and graduated from Snow Hill High School in Snow Hill, Maryland. She returned to South Carolina after graduation where she was employed as a domestic engineer for several families.

She was preceded in death by her mother, aunts and uncles.

Birdie leaves to cherish her memories, one sister, Joann (William) Ginn; three brothers: Barry (Valarie) Bradley Sr., Robert (Jessica) Bradley Jr. and Daryl (Kesha) Corbin all of Salisbury, MD; one aunt, Alice Patterson of Ulmer, SC; a special cousin, Nickie Chisolm; a special friend, Betty Strudwick; her companion, Carol Doe; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2020 from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Friends may call at the residence of her cousin, Nickie Chisolm at 327 Googe Street Allendale, SC., or at the funeral home.

My condolences to the Chisolm family. I know this is a difficult time and I pray God continues to comfort and strengthen the family during this time. May the many cherished and fond memories of Birdie continue to comfort her family and friends. A comforting thought to keep in mind is at 1 Corinthians 15:26 "And the last enemy, death, is to be bought to nothing." May you all have calming and pleasant thoughts during this time.
