Mother Eunice B. Jordan 97, of Vienna GA entered into eternal rest on Wednesday April 10, 2024.
Funeral Services for Mother Eunice B. Jordan 97, of Vienna GA will be held Wednesday April 17, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Free Providence Baptist Church, Vienna GA. Interment in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Byromville GA.
Mother Eunice Bay Foster Jordan, Better known as “Bay” was born October 2, 1926, to the parentage of the late Mr. King Foster and Millie Turner Foster in Dooly County, Georgia. She attended the Baker Field School in Byromville, Georgia. She was member of the Free Providence Baptist Church, Vienna, Georgia where she was the mother of the church, member of the senior choir, and Mission President, where she served diligently. She retired in 1987, where she was worked as a janitor at the Dooly County High School. She was part owner of Dock Seafood, she was a life member of the St. John Chapter #88 Order of Eastern Star Unadilla. She was also a member of the Golden Leaf Gospel Group. Bay had a passion for singing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Dock Jordan, Jr., her siblings, mother and father, nieces and nephews. Mother Eunice departed this life Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia. She leaves to cherish her memories her children, John W. Lester (Earlene) and Ms. Annie Smith all of Vienna, Georgia; Edgar Lester III, of Columbus, Georgia; a grandson whom she reared, Wesley L. Lester; other grandchildren, Angela Smith, Shelia Smith, Andrew Smith, Jr., Teia Lester, Crystal Whitehead, all of Vienna, Georgia; Kimberly Lester of Athens, Georgia; Dionne Lester, Tomeka (Hansel) Nunez of Columbus, Georgia; Bertram Martin of Savannah, Georgia; five nieces, Mary Banks of Cordele, Georgia, Geneva Berkel of Elmhurst, New York, Shirley Guion of North Carolina, Ada Winters of Grass Lake Michigan, and Darlene Lathon of Milu, Wisconsin; a special cousin, Lucille Daniels of Atlanta, Georgia; a host of other nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends; devoted neighbors, Mrs. Lois (Johnny) Royal, and Mrs. Lessie Lango; and the Free Providence Baptist Church Family.
