Funeral Services for Mr. Charles William Bryant 57, of Hawkinsville GA will be held Saturday August 19,2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mt Moriah Baptist Church in Unadilla, GA. Interment in the Mt Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, Unadilla GA.
Charles William Bryant took his eternal rest on August 9, 2023. He was a beloved dad, grandad, brother, and uncle. He was born on January 31, 1966, in Vienna, Georgia, to the late Robert and Chtery Bryant, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, brother in-law, sister, Clara Bryant, and brother, Bruce Bryant. He was a devoted husband of thirty years to his loving wife, Joyce Ann Colson Bryant, who preceded him in death. He attended Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and was baptized at an early age. He served on the Deacon Board. He attended Hawkinsville High School and was a 1984 graduate. He served five years in the US Army. He retired for services of thirty years with the Georgia Department of Corrections. He was also a part of the Freemasonry. He was a dedicated coach to the Hawkinsville Recreational Department. While coaching for the department, he gained a special friend, Reggie Morris. He leaves to cherish: two stepchildren, Robbie Colson, Sr. (Shan), of Warner Robins, GA, and Crystal Lorick (Tyrell, Sr.) of Jacksonville, FL; two grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, Robbie Colson, Jr. (RJ), and Tyrell Shingles, Jr. (TJ); four sisters, Elnora Booker (Tarvaes) of Macon, GA, Elaine Bryant of Hawkinsville, GA, Shirley Ann James of Warner Robins, GA, and Rakerria Bryant of Cordele, GA; two brothers, Frankie L. Bryant of Byron, GA, and Rotavius Bryant of Cordele, GA; two aunts, Shirley Woodson of Vienna, GA, and Mattie Mae Bryant of Perry, GA; four sisters-inlaw, Peggy Colson Williams, Teen Ann Colson Harrell (James), and Virginia Colson (Jerry), all of Hawkinsville, GA, and Katrise Colson of Hendersonville, TN; a godbrother, Tyrone Rozier {Latasha) of Cochran, GA; and a host of very devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
Love You Bruh you are truly missed, never goodbye just good night. See you again in the loving arms of our Father.
It was a privilege and honor to supervise this young man . A great Family Man, Coach, Veteran, CERT Team Sgt. And a great supervisor who gave his all daily. I pray thee the family strength, peace, and perseverance in the days, weeks, and months to come . Charles Bryant made Pulaski and Wilcox Co a better place with his humble presence though the years.
