Mr. John Minor 82, of Elko GA entered into eternal rest on Tuesday May 3, 2022.

Graveside Services for Mr. John Minor 82, of Elko GA will be Tuesday May 10, 2022 at 12:00p.m. at the New Bethel Baptist Church Cross Road Cemetery Unadilla , Georgia.

John “Henry” Minor was born January 12, 1940, to the late Clarence and Annie Mae Minor in Unadilla, Ga. He attended public school in Unadilla and was a member of New Bethel Baptist church. At an early age, Henry was employed at Perfect Farms Dairy in Elko, Ga. There he worked as a dedicated employee for almost 50 years before retiring. In his spare time, you could catch Henry down on the bank fishing or riding around on his lawn mower cutting someone’s grass. He loved music, Westerns and The Andy Griffith Show. But on any given Sunday, you could catch him in front of the TV watching NASCAR which was his absolute favorite. On Tuesday May 3,2022 God sent for his Angel to rejoice with him in Heaven. Henry was preceded in death by his loving wife Betty Louise Minor to whom he was married for 60 years. Also preceding him in death are brothers Charlie and Freddie Minor and one sister Mrs. Almas Jean Minor-Johnson. He leaves to celebrate his memories three sons Marcus Minor (Marjorie) of Perry, GA., Travis Minor (Janice) of Byron GA., and Garrit Minor (Cynthia) of Atlanta, GA., four sisters Juanita Higdon and Dorothy Williams of Tampa, FL., Betty McGhee and Ruby Minor of Elko, GA., one brother Willie Lumpkin (Beatrice) of Perry, GA., one sister-in-law Bertha (Askew) Minor, eight grandchildren Ciara, Franco, Cameron, Christian and Tiandra Minor, Carlo(DePaul) Strickland, Gary and Tori Armour; four great grandchildren Khloe and Karter Minor, Ava Jackson and Jastiny Armour and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
