Memorial Services for Mr. Willie ''Bill'' Cherry 81, of Unadilla GA will be held Sunday March 28, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. by immediate family only at Coes Funeral in Unadilla Georgia. Interment will be Private. Public Visitation will be held Saturday March 27 from 2 -6 p.m.
WILLIE “BILL” CHERRY was born December 26, 1939, in Dooly County, Georgia to the late Mattie Cherry Burnam and the late Jack Glover. He departed this life on Sunday, March 21, 2021. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Mattie Ruth, James Edward, R.B., and Jackie. Mr. Cherry joined the Brown Chapel Baptist Church at an early age. He attended Vienna High and Industrial School in Vienna, Georgia. roughout his life he held various jobs, some including Dennard’s Red and White, Lanier Manufacturing, and Borum Service Station. At the age of 24, he united with Reatha Westbrook. From that union came two daughters, Mary Elaine (Matthew) Watkins of Henderson, Georgia and eresa Diane Cherry of Unadilla, Georgia. Later he married Dorothy Jordan, and a son was born, Ronald Lamar (Mary) Cherry of Kansas City, Missouri. Years later, he and the late Henri Mae West were united. From this marriage came a son, Willie “Bill” Cherry, Jr., and step-daughter, Latonya Nicole West. He also leaves to cherish his memories: godsister, Earnestine Taylor; nine grandchildren, Tamara Cherry, Lamar Cherry, Madison Davis, Kira Cherry, Mattalee Watkins, ZyQaurious Ball, Journii Cherry, Jermarrion Cherry, and Ja’Muzik Cherry; great-grand, Raylan Troutman; devoted nephew, Jartavious Cherry; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other sorrowing friends.
