Graveside Services for Mrs. Rosie Leary Adkinson 63 , of Unadilla GA will be Friday January 28 ,2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery Unadilla, Georgia.
Rosie Leary Adkinson was born on April 30, 1958, in Pinehurst, GA, to the late Rayfield Leary, who preceded her in death, and Clara Bell Leary. She graduated from Vienna High School in 1976 with Honors. After completing high school, Rosie attended and graduated from the Delta Airlines flight attendant school as a flight attendant. She attended South Georgia Technical College and DeVry University, where she received an associateβs and bachelorβs degree, respectively, in accounting. Her career journey included roles with Lanier/Oxford, NEFF, M&M Photo Video recording, and concluded at Dooly County Middle School as a Paraprofessional. She enjoyed helping others with tax preparation. In 1979, she married the late James βHudsonβ Adkinson, Jr. Rosie was a member of Brown Chapel Baptist Church in Unadilla, GA, where she served faithfully and provided the weekly church announcements. She accepted Christ as her personal savior until her passing on January 22, 2022. She leaves to cherish her memory: daughters, LaSharon Wright (Christopher) of Dacula, GA, Nikiana Garland (Danny) of Warner Robins, GA, Tomica L. Felton (Casey) of Lithonia, GA, Stephanie Jackson (Travis) of Albany, GA; a favorite niece, Yolanda Monique Anderson (Emmanuel) of Warner Robins, GA; sisters, Frances Leary Wesley (John) of Albany, GA, Debra Adams (Earnest) of Greenwood, MS, Jeanette Leary of Albany, GA, Denene Hill (Stacey) of Lithonia, GA, and Stephanie Leary Brooks (Tony) of Ocala, Florida; one brother, Tony Leary, who preceded her in death; inlaws, Janie Mae Adkinson, Ronnie Adkinson, Juanita Adams, Marie Adkinson, Maxine Adkinson, Terry Wilson (Anthony), and Tyrone Adkinson (Rosalyn); a dear niece, Valerie Payne (Kenya); 12 grandchildren, Ashley, Jeran, Brianna, Tania, Nala, Timon, Caitilyn, Keaira, Michael, Imani, Iyanna, and dearly devoted granddaughter, Infiniti Adkinson; three great-grandchildren, Amil, Kylah, and Khloe; five aunts and five uncles; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that will miss her dearly.
