Some people only walk this earth for a short time. Their departure reminds us that angels are watching over us. Last week, our Angel, Lorena Mcclendon rejoined her heavenly family and gained her wings. Lorena Mcclendon was born October 19, 1965, in Vienna Georgia, to the late James and Mary Mcclendon. She graduated from Dooly County High School in 1983. Lorena was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Vienna Ga. She gained employment with Tysons Foods in Vienna Ga; however ,after a few years she decided to become a stay at home mom. Lorena was a compassionate woman who had a loving spirit that overflowed with service. She enjoyed helping others. She could be seen out and about around town almost daily, providing rides for those in need. She did all this while caring for her daughter full time. She never met a stranger. Lorena leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Brandon Mcclendon, Atlanta, GA and daughter, Nicolette Shatese McClendon, Vienna, GA ; Step Daughters - Valrie, Franchester, and Jessica Nicey, Vienna, GA; Step Sons -Eric and Niko Niecy, Vienna, GA; and her devoted Fiancรฉ - Robert Nicey, Vienna, GA. She is also survived by her sisters Marilyn Allen, Angelyn Jones, and Martha McClendon all of Vienna, GA. David Jones, Cassandra and Wilmon Benett, Cordele GA; Brenda and Godfrey Ray, Moultrie GA; Linda Brown - Alabama and a host of extended family and friends that will miss her dear
