PASTOR MINNIE (COOSIE) FURMAN KELLOGG was born on October 30, 1959, to James (Mattie) Cherry and O. W. Cosby who both preceded her in death. Pastor Minnie (Coosie) departed this life on July 14, 2025, leaving behind her beloved husband, Clayton Hutto, Sr. Also left to cherish her memories are her brothers, James Cherry, Jr., Tommy Cosby of Bradenton, FL, and Terry (Celestine) Lester of Unadilla, GA. Her brothers, David (Tiffany) Cosby of Vienna, GA, and Phillip Woodson preceded her in death. Coosie’s four sisters, Darlena Adams of Byron, GA, Ethel (Clarence) Cosby-Harris of Unadilla, GA, Linda Cosby of Unadilla, GA, and Claretha Cosby-King of Perry, GA, will cherish her memories forever. Coosie’s memories will also be cherished by her sisters in Christ, Carrie Price of Colorado Springs, CO, and Shirley Leggett of Hawkinsville, GA.
In May of 1979, Coosie embraced the Lord’s call to start a family, bearing three children. She leaves behind her son, Elder Cemal (Diana) Furman; bonus son, Clayton Hutto, Jr.; daughters, Atira and Laquasha; and goddaughter, Victoria. She leaves behind eight grandchildren and six bonus grandchildren, with Ceanna Praise as the apple of her eye, and one and only granddaughter. Her grandsons, Tiran, Zhymir, Zhyquan, Zhyjay, Tony (TJ), Zhydarion, and Samual Juddah, are left behind to protect Ceanna at all costs. Her grandson, Otis Jr., who preceded her in death will protect Coosie now. She had unconditional love for all of her family, leaving behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends, other family, and loved ones.
Pastor Minnie Kellogg’s anointing was displayed at a young age, even on the school playground. Her journey in Christ began at Brown Chapel Baptist Church in Unadilla, GA. As she grew in Christ, her walk with the Lord led her to Healing and Deliverance Pentecostal Church of Unadilla, GA. Wherever God said go, Pastor went. She began evangelizing in Hampton Roads, Virginia, joining God’s Holy Temple Universal Risen Church of God under the Elected State Mother Pastor Lessie M. Wilson in 1987. As Pastor Kellogg grew in discipleship, she was ordained as an Evangelist in the mid-1990s. While she evangelized, she obtained her degree in nursing, offering love and care to the sick wherever she went. Her ministry existed beyond the walls of the sanctuary. From private-duty nursing to home healthcare, Hearts & Hands, Pastor Kellogg was determined to exalt in her gifts. The Lord called upon her to pursue an outreach ministry and was anointed and ordained as Pastor under the guidance of Bishop Q. S. Caldwell. From there, she ministered in Ray City, establishing Rainbow of Faith Ministries.
On July 5, 2009, Pastor Minnie (Coosie) cut the ribbon and founded Real Life & Faith Outreach Ministries in Valdosta, GA, “Where we make a difference through Christ one day and one life at a time.” In this chapter of her life, the Lord placed Pastor Kellogg at New Beginnings Church Ministry in Lakeland, GA. In her later years, she studied and received a degree in Chaplaincy, aiding those grieving through loss after Covid-19. Pastor Kellogg took the Lord’s call to an assignment at North Valdosta Church of God in which she tarried until the Lord called her home. Coosie understood her purpose and completed her missions to reach the masses as God led her. She made a difference in many lives near and abroad, serving.
