Alexandria Lee Clayton was born on Tuesday, August 12th, in DeKalb, IL. She was raised in Durham, NC by her mother, Kimberly Clayton Senegal, her father, Clifford James Senegal, and her bonus mom, Peggy Marie Caswell. Alexandria leaves behind her parents, her siblings, Kristina Marie Clayton and Clifford James Senegal II, three grandmothers, and a host of other family members that loved her deeply.

Alexandria, affectionately known as "Sissy" to her family, had a vibrant spirit and kind heart. She was always willing to help someone in need and felt compassion for all living things. Sissy enjoyed feeling the sun on her skin, being in nature, swimming, and reading about mythology and magic. Our daughter and sister was a talented creative that made all types of art through childhood and adulthood. She also enjoyed cooking and trying out new recipes or creating her own. On Friday, April 14th, 2023, we lost our beloved daughter and the best sister in the whole world. Her gentle and unique spirit will be deeply missed but carries on in our hearts and memories forever.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 28, 2023 at Our Savior Lutheran Church (2109 N. Duke Street Durham, NC). The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm and the service will begin at 2:00 pm.
