I met Sha Sha at John Jay High School in Brooklyn β or "Jungle Jay," for those who know β and that's where our friendship began. Sha Sha had a way of making people laugh and feel comfortable just by being herself. There were about seven of us who hung out together back then, and we all had nicknames. Sha Sha gave me mine β "Pebbles." I'm not sure I loved it at the time, but thinking about it now makes me smile. It became our thing, and hearing her call me that will always hold a special place in my heart. And if you knew Sha Sha, you knew she always had her pocketbook with her. That was just part of who she was. No matter where we were going, Sha Sha and her bag were showing up together. Some of my favorite memories are from those days β laughing, talking, and just enjoying life together. But beyond the fun, Sha Sha was loyal, genuine, and a true friend. She showed up for so many important moments in my life, from my bridal shower to my wedding, and remained a constant presence through the years. Sha Sha was the kind of friend whose presence felt comforting, real, and lasting. She will be deeply missed, always loved, and never forgotten. My deepest condolences to her son and her entire family. Best, Danielle aka "Pebbles"
