Obituary - Mark Anthony Alberti
Mark Anthony "Rock" Alberti, 71, passed away peacefully at his residence on August 14, 2021 following a four month illness. He was born on September 30, 1949 in Belleville, Illinois. Mark is survived by his wife of 41 years, Debbie; sons, Marc(Jennifer), Justin and Alex; granddaughters, Reylene, Mia and Olivia Alberti; fur babies, Mickey, Precious, Autumn, Jack and grand-pup, Taiko. He is also survived by four brothers; Bobby (Addie), Bill (Gail), Chris (Nan), Andy (Kathy); his sister, Mia Turro (Steve); his nieces and nephews, several cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Barbara Mueller Alberti and an infant sister.
Mark retired from UNC Healthcare in 2017 after 43 years and was proud to have served in the US Army 82nd Airborne during the Vietnam War.
Mark's favorite pastimes were flying planes on his computers, spending time at the range shooting targets, beach trips to the Outer Banks and relaxing in his favorite recliner with the remote in hand. He was an avid Tarheel fan!!
We appreciate all the love and support extended to us from family and friends during his illness.
The family will have a private celebration of his life.
