Janice Carnell sent The Peace Lily for Ryan McClain - February 11, 2025
Heartfelt Condolences to the McClain Family and know that Our Collective Arms are Wrapped Around You in the Name of God.Ryan and I,also Brenda were Class and School mates, he and I not only shared the same last name, but were both members of the Class of 1970.He and I had much fun and some great times filled with laughter. Our running joke was for me to propose and marry his Lovely sister Brenda, and she would not have to change her last name.If you know how Ryan was,he found a way of expressing things that made a No turn into a Yes, just so that everyone came away with a laugh and great feelings. We later learned that our parents worked together,Mr.Sandy and my dad, George, so the uniting of our Family went further than our sharing last names. Rest Well My Dear Brother,We will see each other again in Heaven.
To the McClain Family, Our prayers are with you as you Celebrate the Life of Ryan. We share fond memories growing up and worshiping at Union Baptist Church with Ryan and the McClain & Thompson family. Hold on to our loving God who will give you strength today and in the days to come.
Here's sending Prayers and Sincere condolences for the entire Family. Ryan was the kindest person. When we would take my late husband to the VA here in Durham, he would light up when he saw Ryan. Even if he was busy, Ryan would take time to speak and ask how we both were, even if he didn't have a lot of time. We were so Grateful for the time he would spend with us when we would see him. I remember when Ryan transferred Smitty from the VA to Brian Center. He was so kind and patient. Even if you saw him with patients and/or family members, you could see his kindness and patience, w/o a doubt. We were extremely Grateful to see him when we did. May God continue to Cover, Bless, Keep and Direct each and every one of you, Family, as you navigate through this period of Bereavement. Mrs. Johnnie Kee-Smith & Family
On behalf of the Hillside Class of 1970, please accept my sincere condolences and know that Ryan's classmates are saddened to hear of his passing. We are sorry for your loss. Mary Scott, Class President
My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I will never forget Cousin Ran's sweet spirit! As we sat beside each other and talked at Cousin Geraldine's birthday lunch, I thought to myself, Cousin Ran reminds me so much of Uncle Sandy! The tone of their voices was just so kind! Cousin Ran's presence will be greatly missed.
RIHP my little brother, I love and miss you very much! Kiss mama, daddy and Brenda for me!
