Tonya was such a ray of sunshine at DSS. She always had a warm smile for everyone and the love she shared with everyone will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing/meeting her. My deepest condolences to Tonya's family.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of your passing. Gone too soon is the first thought that entered my mind. I will always remember your infectious smile that greeted me every morning for 20+ years. I just want to thank your family for sharing you with our DSS family. You will be forever loved and remembered. Sleep in Heavenly Peace Until we meet again. Love you much!

God Bless Your Memory!!!! I always think about you leaving (an event we attended) and wearing my fake no name Uggs like boots and leaving me your brand new UGGS, neither of us realized it until the next morning. We had the best laugh about this. The funny thing our shoe size was very different. I will always hold on to that memory and the great times we shared. Rest on my sister!!!! Tonya, I always called you "Sunshine", because you always radiated JOY and KINDNESS! You were a pleasure to work with, and I thank you for everything you helped me with over the years at DCoDSS. I sincerely miss you. God bless the Satterwhite and McNeill families. Rest in heavenly peace Tonya.

I had the pleasure to work with her for many years at DSS and during this time developed a wonderful friendship. Pink her favorite color, symbolizes love, compassion and warmth. At DSS, we shared more than work and days— We shared our crafts, our laughter, and our ways. With a heart of gold and kindness shining through, Tonya made each moment brighter for everyone she knew.

A Cricut pro, with talent in her hands, She turned plain shirts and bottles into beautiful plans. Baskets, designs, and projects made with care— She gladly shared her creations everywhere.

Even the special pieces her son designed, She proudly made them, with love intertwined. And when I watched her work, amazed by what she'd do, She'd smile and say, "Come on, Doris—you can do it too!"

I'd say, "I want to create images like your son can make. But I'm comfortable with scissors for the projects I undertake." She'd laugh and say, "Those scissors serve you well, But the Cricut is much faster—you can tell!"

Her laughter, encouragement, and gentle heart Are precious memories that will never depart. Though our crafting days have come to an end, Her love and friendship will remain, my friend.

Tonya, you will be deeply missed, And never forgotten—not even for a moment like this. Your heart of gold will forever shine. Rest in peace, Tonya—your memory will always be mine. ❤️

My deepest condolences in the loss of a very dear soul. I had the pleasure of working with Tonia in Durham for several years and she was without a doubt, the sweetest soul. Her smile was authentic, warm and engaging. She was kind to everyone and made you feel welcome. This is hard news to hear. To Tonia, thank you for being a dear friend. You are deeply loved and will be missed. To her family, my sincere condolences.

To the family and friends of Tonya, I extend my deepest condolences. It's never easy to lose a loved one, but I pray the the comforter of peace be with you during this time.

Mrs. Tonya, you will be greatly missed. You truly shook the Walltown building with this one, and I don't think it will ever feel quite the same without you. I am so thankful that God allowed us the time we had together and gave me the opportunity to know, laugh with, and create so many memories with you.

I'm going to miss you more than words can express. You weren't just someone I worked with—you became my Tuesday and 1st Saturday buddy. Those days, our conversations, the laughs, and simply seeing you around Walltown are memories I will forever cherish. Your presence brought something special to the building, and your absence will be felt by so many of us.

To your family, my heart and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I pray that God wraps His loving arms around each of you, gives you strength when you feel weak, peace when your hearts are heavy, and comfort in the days ahead. I know there are no words that can truly take away the pain of losing someone you love, but I trust that God will carry you through every moment.

To Tonya's Family: I was so saddened to hear about this horrendous loss. Tonya was such a sweet soul. She literally did the obituary for my mother when she passed. My heartvgoes out to the family, and I pray that God will give you strength to endure at this difficult time.
