Walker was the love of my life. He was loving, kind, had great sense of humor, we had great times together and I have a lot of wonderful memories and will miss him dearly.
Quite a while ago, I walked into a corporate Christmas party where I had been hired to lead (actually teach/lead) line dances. At that time, I did not know who the DJ was or what kind of music s/he would play. So, Marty and I arrived early and that's when we met Walker! To say he was a breath of fresh air would be an understatement! We hit it off right away and got the music coordinated with the line dances that had been suggested. Walker's high energy and smiles were infectious and coupled with my attempt at teaching/leading new line dancers, we pulled it off! Yes; he will be missed, but always remembered for what he brought to the Shag Clubs. Sending our prayers and thoughts to family and friends.
All of Walker's friends in the Chatham Area Shag Association will miss him dearly. Our sympathy goes out to friends and family.
With deepest sympathy from Eno Beach Shag Club. Durham NC. It has been a while but Walker DJ several times for EBSC. RIP Walker.
