Alice Ann Jernigan
Funeral service for Alice Ann Jernigan 82, will be Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 2 pm at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where Reverend Calton Phillips, Pastor and Reverend LaNoah Ealy, officiating. Interment will follow in Eden Hills Cemetery.
Mrs. Jernigan passed away on June 4, 2026 at Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Jernigan's remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to her service.
Mrs. Jernigan was a member of the Mars Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She graduated from the ALMIGHTY Cobb Avenue High School Class of 1962. She took great pride in her Alma Mata and attended every class reunion ever held. Her heart was always in the souls of people as she spent most of her employment years and God given love and talent serving others at the Golden Living Nursing Facility servicing the Anniston-Oxford area, where she eventually retired from.
Survivors include her sons; Curtis Jernigan, Jr. (Jolene), Bruce Jernigan (Jackie), Reginald Jernigan; her daughters: Wanda Carol, Vanessa Cunningham (Tracey), Samantha DeArman (Michael), Donnetta Spinks (Demetrius); her daughterly niece: Marvalene Elston (Stanley); her daughterly granddaughter: Kaniyah Johnson; her brother: Odis Freeman (Franciena); her sister: Etta Mae Slaughter; 20 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Zebedee Freeman and Eula Mayo Freeman, her husband, Curtis Jernigan, Sr. and her siblings, Ulysses Freeman, Marvalene Freeman, Johnnie Louise Freeman, Arlene Freeman, Willis Freeman and Zebedee Freeman, Jr.
