Funeral service for Emily Jean Mackey 74, will be Saturday, October 30, at noon at the Anniston Funeral Service Outreach Ministry in the Russell H. Williams Memorial Chapel with Rev. Alberta McCrory, officiating.
Interment will follow in Hobson City Memorial Gardens.
Ms. Mackey passed away on October 25, 2021 in Newnan, GA. Ms. Mackey graduated from Calhoun County Training School in 1965 and later from Gadsden State Technical College.
She retired after 30 years of service from AT&T.
Survivors include her sister: Cynthia Mackey-Shorter (Reno); sister/niece: LaTonya Mackey Andrews (Orlando Watters); Godmother: Emma Sparks; in-law: Annie P. Mackey, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Felton and Charice Mackey, siblings, Edith Mackey-Parker, Fred, Charles, and Kennyth Mackey, nephews, Martrelle Todd, Tyrique Mackey, in-law, Shirley Mackey.

Emily and I worked the night shift at AT&T in Southfield, Michigan for many years. She was a very nice person. She retired a few years before I did but I never forgot her.
