Funeral service for Emma Lee Berry 85, will be Friday, May 1, 2026 at 11 am at the Anniston Funeral Service Russell H. Williams Memorial Chapel with Rev. Carlton L. Phillips, officiating. Interment will follow in Forestlawn Gardens Cemetery. Ms. Berry passed away on April 20, 2026.

She received her education at Clay County Training School in Lineville, AL, and later at Prince George's Community College in Riverdale, Maryland. Ms. Berry dedicated many years of service to the D.C. Government, working in Human Resources at Saint Elizabeths Hospital in Southeast Washington, D.C. She retired in 1999, devoting herself fully to caring for her ailing daughter and helping raise her grandchildren-a role she embraced with deep love and commitment.

Survivors include her loving grandchildren: Christina Batts, Vondra Walker, Terry Ball, and Amber Ball; her great-grandchildren: Courtney Caldwell, Ardasia Heard, Hershell Walker, Terry Ball Jr. III, Khloe Ball, Breelyn Jackson, and Ashton Stokes; her great-great-grandchildren: Aspen Caldwell and Dejuan Archuleta: her siblings:Annie Ball, Linda Thomas, Clifford Berry, Hubert Berry, and sister-in-law Rushie Berry, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy Lee Berry and Minnie Bishop Berry, her daughter, Barbara J. Caldwell-Ball, her siblings, Arthur Berry, Donna Jones, and Mary Gaither "Aunt Mary".
