Obituary For Gloria Jean Sanford

Funeral Service for Gloria Jean Sanford 71, will be Saturday, December 10, at Noon at the Mt. Liberty Baptist Church with Pastor Arthur Cottingham, officiating.

Interment will follow in Eden Hills Cemetery. Mrs. Sanford passed away on November 30, 2022 at Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Sanford was a faithful member of Mt. Liberty Baptist Church. She was a graduate from Calhoun County Training School in 1969. She received her Master's degree from Jacksonville State University. Mrs. Sanford retired from Calhoun County Mental Health Center.

Survivors include her daughter: Serena A. Curry; granddaughter: Alexa Heard; siblings: Avis Curry (caregiver), Gladys Curry, Rachael Thomas, Preston Curry, Tommie (Mary) Russell, George (Belia) Curry, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Preston and Ella Curry, husband, Al J. Sanford, grandparents, Rev. Fred and Louise Hawkins, George and Lillie Curry, siblings, Theodore Curry, Wylene Curry, in-law, Carol Curry.
