Funeral service for Janet G. Jackson 73, will be Thursday, May 28, at noon at the Victory Headquarters Christian Center with Bishop Charles D. Gregory, Sr., Ed.S., officiating.
Entombment will follow in Forestlawn Gardens. Mrs. Jackson passed away on May 21, 2020. A wake will be this evening 5-7pm. Mrs. Jackson's remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to her service.
Mrs. Jackson graduated from Cobb Avenue High School in 1964. She was a member of The Christian Fellowship Bible Church. Survivors include her husband: Rev. Jimmiy L. Jackson; her children: Jimmy L. Jackson, Jr. (Phyllis Whatley), Portia Jackson Wright, Darrelyne D. Jackson, Dorothy Jackson Lange; grandchildren: Sydnie R. McKnabb (Denzel), Nicholas Wright, Genesis Lange, David Lange; great grandchildren: Weston McKnabb, Sabrina Lange-Chavero, and awaiting, Reign McKnabb; her mother: Reva Nell Weeks; siblings: Dorothy Ragland, Diane (Charles) Matthews, Carolyn Mallory, Linda Mallory, Brenda (Arthur) Shepherd, Richard Mallory; step siblings: Ray (Kecia) Ragland, Johnny Ragland, Charlotte Buchanan,Johnetta Robinson, Sharon Kimbrough (Todd), Sheila Patterson (Lucious); sister in-laws: Gertie Johnson, Jerelene Whitfield, Diane (Jesse) Buchannan, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, John D. Bush, grandparents, Knox Napoleon Bonaparte Godwin and Ella Lou Isabella Godwin, siblings, Anthony Mallory, Barbara Edmond, Willie C.
