Funeral service for Larry Holyfield, Sr., 71, will be Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 11 am at the Anniston Funeral Service Russell H. Williams Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Holyfield passed away on February 20, 2026. Visitation will be Friday, 1-6 pm. Mr. Holyfield was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose strength, kindness, humor, and steady presence shaped the lives of all who knew him. He dedicated much of his life to Talladega National Forest Service – Shoal Creek, where he was respected for his work ethic, skills, and leadership.

Survivors include his children: Christina (Chadwick) Horne, Beverly (Ronald) Ervin, and Larry (Amy) Holyfield, Jr.; his grandchildren Tatiana Ervin, Kya Battle, Ronald Ervin, Jr, Steven Battle III, Benjamin Holyfield, Alaina Holyfield; and his siblings, Willie Holyfield, Mary Johnson, Brenda Holyfield, William "Tootsie" Holyfield, Wanda (Charles) Henson, Angela Holyfield, and Caroline Holyfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Holyfield and Lois Holyfield; his siblings, Margret Whitfield, Walter Holyfield, and Stanley Holyfield; his grandchildren, Jeremiah Holyfield and Brody Holyfield, brother in-law, Darrell Johnson.
