Funeral service for Mother Lovenia Thomas Sterling Hudgins 80, will be Thursday, November 20, 2025 at noon at the All American Holiness Church where Bishop Vernon Thomas, Pastor, Bishop Manuell Smith,IV, officiating, Supt. Willie E. Hearn, Sr. Eulogist. Interment will follow in Anniston Memorial Gardens. Mother Sterling passed away on November 12, 2025. Awake will be on Wednesday, November 19, from 4 - 6 pm at the Anniston Funeral Service Chapel. Mother Sterling will arrive at the church one hour prior to her service. She was a member of All American Holiness Church, she served as Church Mother, Deaconess, Assistant Sunday School Superintendent and more. Survivors include her children: Mary Redwine, Kimeko D. Thomas, Tony D. (Delilah) Sterling, and Bishop Vernon D. (Diana) Thomas; 18 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; her siblings: Betty Jean Bagley, Patricia Moore, Darrie (Eric) Deramus, and Billy Ray Thomas; sisters in-law and friends: Elaine Thomas and Hazel A. Thomas, nieces, nephews, cousins; special sons:Quintin Percentie of Nassau, Bahamas, and Forrest Carr (her "shopping buddy" son) and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Charles "Big Jack" Thomas and Bettie Best Thomas, grandchildren, India Y. Smith and Jonathan A. Thomas, her sister, Mary A. Thomas, her brothers, Nelson, John L., Charles, Rogers, Larry, Bobby, Ralph, Bishop Calvin L. Thomas, Sr., and Lorenzo Cox, her husband's, Willie C. Sterling and William Hudgins.
