Maude Davis
Service for Maude Bell Davis 92, "Mrs. Cutie" will be Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 11 am at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church 101 Mt. Zion Rd., Alexandria. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Davis passed away on July 17, 2026. Mrs. Davis' remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to her service.
Mrs. Davis was a member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Wellington where she served joyfully as a Sunday School teacher, President of the Missionary Society, taught Bible School, served on the Usher Board and sang in the choir. She retired from Alabama's Mental Health System after many years of dedicated service to others.
Survivors include sister, Vera Wade; a special niece, Camille Barnett; a special nephew, William Lee; her children: Yolanda Woods (Bishop Woods), Vanessa Woodruff, Thomas Davis, Boris Davis (Jana), Yvonne Moore (Earnest), Lynette Cornelius (Bret), Homer Davis, Keith Davis, Felicia Davis, Darrell Davis, and Lamont Davis; 42 grandchildren, 83 great-grandchildren and 49 great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Henrietta Green, brothers, John and Lemuel, her sister, Scottie ("Madea") and her children, Carletha, Yvette and Willie.

To the Family, My heart and thoughts are with you all during this difficult time. I pray God grants you the strength to get through the long road ahead, and I share in your grief. The days ahead will not be easy, but she fought a good fight and kept her faith. I am so glad that I was able to see her when I was home last October. She is loved and will be truly missed.
