Obituary For Ramon "Raymond" Anderson

Funeral service for Ramon Anderson "Raymond" 78, will be Saturday December 17, at 1 pm at the Anniston Funeral Service Outreach Ministry in the Russell H. Williams Memorial Chapel with Rev. Clyde Hill, officiating.

Mr. Anderson passed away on December 8, 2022. Mr. Anderson was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. He relocated to Akron, OH and became a boxer and champion. "Sugar Ray the Magnificent", he played Semi-Pro baseball and is a member of the Akron Hall of Fame. He starred in an off Broadway Show and hosted at the world famous Apollo Theatre.

Survivors include his children: Eric, Deric, and Bridgette; siblings: Delois Willis, Emma Calloway, Mary Sistrunk, Willie Frank, Erskine (Brenda), Eddie (Georgetta) and Victor; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Emma Sue Anderson, siblings:Shirley, Loretta, Ronell, grandfather, Tom Anderson.
