Memorial services for Apostle Saundra Cooley-Watson 64, will be Saturday, November 19, at 1 pm at the Faith Outreach Ministries, with Pastor Justin Cooley, eulogist. Apostle Cooley-Watson gained her heavenly wings on November 2, 2022 in Lancaster, CA. Saundra was raised in Tuscumbia, AL, where she graduated from Deshler High school and later to Jacksonville State University, Jacksonville, AL, where she completed both Bachelor's and a Master's degree.
While attending JSU, she was integral in the formation of the Jacksonville State University campus ministry. After college Saundra served for several years at the East Alabama Planning Commission and later became the Executive Director of Concerned for Children. In August of 1987, the JSU campus ministry led to the launching of what is now Faith Outreach Ministries in Anniston, Alabama where she co-pastored for over 15 years. While serving at Faith Outreach Ministries, Saundra gained many spiritual sons and daughters. During her tenure as the Vice President of Institutional
Advancement at Talladega College, Saundra launched a campus ministry on campus, which is still operational to this day. Saundra relocated to Lancaster, California in 2012. In 2015 she became the Dean of Student Affairs at Antelope Valley Community College. Saundra became a member of Agape Community Church where she was licensed, ordained, and elevated from Pastor to Apostle. Saundra met and married William Watson in June,2019. In 2020, God led Saundra and William to establish the New Season Worship Center in Lancaster, CA, where she pastored for 2 years. She was preceded in glory by her parents, William Hollis Nall and Dollie Mae Nall, niece Mary June Minor and grandson Braxton Taylor. Saundra is survived by her husband, William Watson, two children; Justin (Jasmine) and Christina Cooley, four stepchildren; Kashonna Watson-Clanton, Porsha Watson, Vincent'e Garrett, Maloree Malone, three grandchildren; Jakhia, Camiyah and Cayden Cooley, siblings; JoAnn Minor, William Hollis "Bill" Nall, Diane Nall Garner, Buphus L. Nall (Cathy), and Sidney L. Nall (Lisa).
In lieu of flowers the family request, that memorials will be made to Faith Outreach Ministries $FOM87 or New Season Worship Center $NSWCL.
