Funeral service for Savannah English "Rocky" 87, (formerly of the Thankful Community, Anniston) will be Friday, October 9, 2026 at 11 am at the Anniston Funeral Service Russell H. Williams Memorial Chapel with Rev. E. Tramaine Solomon, officiating. Interment will follow in Anniston Memorial Gardens.

Mr. English graduated from Calhoun County Training School and later worked in the Community at Jess Groceries. He traveled to Arizona 50 years ago for a Road Trip to work at a Foundry but his Automobile broke down in Phoenix and so he made that his home until September 24th, 2026. Savannah was born a Twin with his sister Sylvester. When their names were to be placed on the Birth records he was supposed to be Sylvester and his sister was supposed to be Savannah. Somehow it got switched -But the Lord saw fit for their parents to leave the records as is. Savannah's remaining siblings of 12 are Carmella Miller and Twin, Sylvester White of Cleveland Ohio; a Devoted Family in Arizona: Deacon Willie and Jeannie Pierce; a devoted niece: Pamela English Stephney (Larry) and other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lillie English, ten siblings including the Reverend Dr. Pequer English, Sr., and AZ family, Ann English.
