Clarice Johnson was born in Harlem, N.Y. to her proud parents Earline Huling and Odell King on April 10, 1947. Clarice attended the NYC public school system. Her soulmate was Calvin Johnson Sr. This union was blessed with four children, Calvin, Clifford, Claude and Cornell. Later on, she had a daughter, Dawn, with her second husband Louis. Clarice retired from the Board of Education years ago. She enjoyed her time learning new technical skills. Clarice was a woman of God, kindhearted, loving and would give her last to help anyone in need. She was a generous person and a source of strength for so many. Clarice departed this life on December 13, 2021, and has gone on to join her parents, her sister Cathey, her three brothers, Otis, Lawrence and Woody, and her daughter Dawn. She leaves to mourn and cherish fond memories; four sisters, Millie, Marcella, Phyllis, and Brenda; two brothers Gene and Carl; eight grandchildren Rasheem, Mikayla, Keenan, Claurisa, Anatasia, Terrell, Davone and Tory; five great grandchildren, Jaliyah, Jeremiah, Davone Jr., Peyton, and Anthony and her daughter in law’s Regina and Robin Johnson, and host of nieces and nephews and dear friends! Clarice will be missed by all whose lives she touched. Although she will not be with us physically, she will be with us spiritually and in our hearts forever.
