Expanding his knowledge and skill he later owned the family business Sobers Hardware located on Coffee Street San Fernando. A avid cyclist and devoted steel pan lover, Felix found his rhythm everywhere he went. Steel pan became more than an instrument it was a companion that carried him across borders. Even his time at “Hatters Steel Orchestra” where he showed hus passion for Pan. From Sweet steel pan music to being a member of the Nomads Cycling Club, Felix enjoyed the company of friends in everything he did. And oh he made them so easily. Must have been his jovial spirit and big smile.
In the 1980’s he migrated to Harlem New York where he was very well known by many. His friendliness and helpful skills followed him wherever he went and left a lasting impression on all. Anything you needed fixed Felix will do it. Exploring the city and attending shows was something he loved to do with his fiancé June Taylor. If Felix wasn’t eating A Turkey Sandwich, while watching his favorite basketball team THE KNICKS. He was enjoying his favorite meal Chicken & Broccoli. Organizing and re-organizing his clothing to match up with his shoes and hats Felix made sure he was always the sharpest dresser. Ah real star boy with charm and character Felix will be missed but remember Felix we love you more than we will ever miss you. Sleep sweetly and make sweet melodious pan music in heaven.
