Obituary For Lucretia Richardson

Lucretia Richardson went on to be with the Lord on June 28th 2021. She spent her final days surrounded by family and friends that will continue to honor her legacy.

Lucretia Yvonne Richardson, affectionately known as "Aunt Tootsie" and "Pat", was born on June 24th, 1944 in Harlem Hospital to the parents of Henrietta Hughes Rice and Rico Woodard, both whom preceded her in death.

She was educated in the New York City School system, attending George Washington High School, and later attended Borough of Manhattan Community College.

Lucretia was an avid reader and loved African American literature as well as anything written by James Patterson. Throughout her life, she worked many jobs and always made friends along the way. Her carreer as an entrepreneur brought her the most joy. Lucretia was a genuine "people person" and loved to talk to everyone. She had a great spirit and always had kind, encouraging words. She was very generous and would readily share whatever she had.

Lucretia met Charles Richardson as a teen, and with their union, her first born son, Guy, was born. Lucretia and Charles were married for many years, until his death in 1979. Later in life, she would meet John Cuebas and together have a son, Lance. John preceded her in death in 1995.

She leaves behind her two sons, Guy Richardson and Sgt. Lance Cuebas. Mother-in-law, Ida Keeling, and stepmother-in-law, Dottie Richardson. Two daughters-in-law Ariel Richardson and Verquella Cuebas. Four siblings SMSgt. Rico Salabarria, Yvette Lynch, Tina Woodard, and Velina Woodard. She also leaves behind three brothers-in-law and eight sisters-in-law, seven grandchildren Andre, Ashlei, Ellis, Risa, Gabriel, Blake, Serena, Grayson, and Camron. Four great-grandchildren Kieran, Dakota, Denver, and Daquan Jr, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom she loved dearly.
