Maurice D. Holmes, was born on December 18, 1969 at Brooklyn Hospital in Brooklyn, NY by parents Charles Thousand and Ramona Holmes. He was raised in Forth Green Projects, until he moved to South Carolina with his grandmother. As a young boy, he attended Allendale-Fairfax Elementary School, in South Carolina. He later moved back to Brooklyn and enrolled in Simon F. Rothschild J.H.S 294.
Maurice was a hard worker and worked very well with his hands. He would assist you with whatever he could. He was excellent at his job as well. Maurice worked at Community Home Care for 7 years and later worked at Con Edison reading meters. While reading meters outside, he met the love of his life, his sweetheart, Denise Outlaw Holmes. Married for 15 years, on November 20, 2023, the couple would have celebrated 16 years of marriage. He was an excellent stepfather to her 5 children. He spent his time watching wrestling. He enjoyed it so much, it became one of his favorite hobbies. To know Maurice is to love him. He was warm-hearted and well-mannered, just call him a gentlemen.
Maurice leaves behind to cherish his loving wife Denise Outlaw Holmes and 5 step-children; Tainsha Outlaw, Tiffany Outlaw, Monique Johnson, Dashawn Outlaw and Dijone Outlaw. Maurice's father, Charles, preceded him in death. His mother, Ramona Holmes, Godmother Theodroa Green, Four uncles; Raymond Lee, Shawn Haynes, Kevin Haynes, and Stacey Haynes. Three aunts; Adrienne Lee, Crystal Lee, and Shirley Lee, loving cousin Ben Frazier, Godbrother, Kasani Thomas, Godsister Raquel Thomas, sister-in-law Konnie Little, brother-in-law Ray Jackson and Kevin Outlaw. In addition to a host of loving relatives and friends.
