Pharaoh Skye Williams was born to Grady White and Deidra Williams at Mount Sinai Hospital on February 23, 1979. He grew up with his older sister, Tonya, younger brother, Isaac, and nephew, Chris. His cousins and neighborhood friends were always around as well. During his time at CPE and CPESS, he became a serious basketball player. He had many friends and acquaintances due to his quiet personality and smile.
Skye was a trendsetter and loved nice things. He enjoyed shopping for new clothes and kicks that no one else had. He also had a love for cars. A family favorite story is when Tonya bought a new car but didn’t know how to drive, Skye was supposed to just move the car from side to side. One day Tonya was coming home from work (by train) and saw Skye driving her car towards her. Skye was a fearless risk-taker, which worked in his favor. He lived by asking for forgiveness instead of asking for permission. Skye was a free-spirited individual who spoke his mind when he had something to say.
In July 1997, Skye met Chantel Jackson, and their union gave birth to their daughter, baby Skye, on January 23, 2002. Skye was instrumental in her becoming a successful entrepreneur and successful choreographer. Baby Skye was his pride and joy.
Skye secured several employment positions, beginning with the Board of Elections, Concourse Village, and like his daughter, he was an entrepreneur with his own car service, which he named Skye Class Car Service. But if you knew Skye, you knew his passion for cannabis; he could have taught a course on it.
Skye met Sally and Lamar in 2017, and they continue life together as a loving, caring family. They enjoyed traveling and vacationing and had many fun-filled family outings. Skye, Sally and Lamar's outings also included the Castro family.
A repass will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 4-7 pm at St. Joseph Of The Holy Family Church. Located at 405 W. 125th Street , NY, NY 10027.
Skye’s sudden departure leaves behind a host of family, friends, and neighbors who will remember and miss him. His daughter, Skye; his mother, Ms. Dede; his sister, Tonya; his brother Isaac; his nephew Chris; his great nephew, Kayden; his soul mate Sally and his son Lamar. Skye's brother Jamal, Aunt Sheryn, Kim and family, Uncle Leroy, Kareem and family, Cousin Dasaun, Chantel, Miss Lynn and family, Krystle, Maria, Samara, Carlos, Angel, and the rest of the Castro family. Evangelist Jimenez, Sister Betty, Ms. Janice, and a special shout out to Logan, Damar, Dana, Kool-Aid, Emilio, and Lou.
Gone but never forgotten.
