Ronnie Lewis was born on October 31, 1956 in New York City and ascended to his heavenly home on January 2, 2025. Ronnie was the fourth son of the late Samuel and Sally Lewis. Ronnie was preceded in death by his brothers Granville and Fred; and his sister, Gladys.
Ronnie graduated from Charles Evans High School and went on to complete his Bachelor’s degree in Business Communication at the City University of New York, Baruch College.
After a 34-year career as a bookkeeper at the Provident Loan Society, Ronnie retired at the age of 61. Despite the many health issues he faced, Ronnie always kept a positive and uplifting attitude. Ronnie loved watching television, especially Jeopardy and the Perry Mason TV series with Raymond Burr. Ronnie was a writer and loved writing poems for his family. Mostly he was devoted to his family and was a constant presence throughout the years.
Ronnie leaves behind: one brother, James; one sister, Beverly; two sisters-in-law, Bernice and Patreena; his nieces Tara, Dana, Syretta, Christine, Amber, and Sydera; his nephews, Bryant and Anthony and a host of cousins, colleagues, and friends.
