On April 20th, 1948, Samuel Browne was born to Cynthia Browne and Samuel Browne Sr. in New York City. Sam attended P.S. 68, Cooper Junior High School, and Samuel Gompers High School in New York. After graduating from high school, he attended college for a while and then began working at Haryou Act.
Sam met Esther Peters, also known as Hut, in the early 1970s. After moving into the neighborhood, she immediately caught his eye. They entered into a loving relationship, and in 1975 they welcomed a son, Kendal Justin Peters. Sam was so happy to have a son! After a few years went by in the late 1970s, they decided to leave New York for new beginnings in California. Sam found a job working at Stanford University, where he would retire. He enjoyed his retirement. His sister Sandra remembers the time he came to New York with a car whose doors opened up like wings, and with a fancy car like that, many people thought he was rich! A loving memory many wouldn’t forget.
Sam leaves to mourn his mother Cynthia Browne, son Kendal Peters, wife Esther Peters, sister Sandra Kennedy, brother Ronald Browne, brother-in-law Robert Walker, daughter Shaun, sons Chris & Thayer, oldest grand-daughter Shytse & great-grand Kamora, grand-daughter Samantha, grandsons Kendal Jr., Devin, and Dejon.
