Few women walk our way and leave trodden paths that become their legacies. Beverly, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, who left this world on December 15, 2023, was one of those women. She was born on December 3, 1950, and departed from us at the age of 73.
Beverly was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother, a sister, and a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother. Her presence brought warmth and joy to our lives, and her memory will forever remain etched in our hearts.
Beverly leaves to cherish her memories: her siblings Catherine, James, David, Patricia, and Javonne, as well as aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and her support dog, Tyson.
As a wife, Beverly exemplified the true meaning of partnership and commitment. Her unwavering support, kindness, and love were the foundation of our family. Kenneth Atkins will never forget her as his soulmate and beloved.
As a mother, Beverly embodied selflessness and nurturing. Her devotion to her children: Carlos (Sholanda) and Miatta, provided them with love, guidance, and a sense of security. Her wisdom and patience were constant sources of strength and inspiration.
As a grandmother, Beverly showered her grandchildren: Carlos, Timothy (deceased), Devonte, Caree, Kenneth, Cierston, and Maurice, with boundless affection. She delighted in their laughter, celebrated their achievements, and was a source of comfort during challenging times. Her legacy lives on in the memories she created with each grandchild. She also loved her great-grandchildren: Caylee, Kaleb, Lon’dyn, Kaiden, and Aubree.
Beverly's life was marked by her love for plants, cooking, caregiving for children/adults, and giving counsel to those who requested it. Her legacy extends beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of friends, colleagues, and the community.
In this time of sorrow, we find solace in the memories we shared with Beverly, the lessons she imparted, the love she gave, and the indelible mark she left on our lives will endure. As we mourn her passing, let us celebrate her beautiful life and the love she generously bestowed upon us.
May Beverly Ann Reese-Atkins rest in eternal peace, and may her spirit continue to inspire and guide us all.

My sincere condolences to the Atkins Family. My heart is very heavy due to the loss of a great friend who was like a sister to me. Little did I know the day that we spoke on the phone would be our last time exchanging love and words of encouragement. You truly will be missed. You smile, your gold heart, our crazy laughter until we cried, family time and the wonderful meals that our families shared together. Rest in Peace my sister until we meet again. Your sister in Christ, Cecelia "Ray" Jones and Family.
My Heartfelt Condolences to Kenneth Atkins and Reese Families. To know Beverly, was to love her. Beverly was a dear friend of mine; more like a sister (family). I will always cherish the many memories of her. We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Rest on my friend in heavenly peace; until we meet again. Carolyn Wheat & Family
