It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Dequenten Jemar Bethea (39), who transitioned on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at MUSC Medical Center in Marion, South Carolina. The family will be receiving friends at 106 Allen Street, Latta, South Carolina 29565. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Public Visitation for Mr. Dequenten Jemar Bethea will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at the Samuel Bartell Memorial Chapel, located at 1309 East Calhoun Street, Dillon, South Carolina 29536.

A Celebration of Life for Mr. Dequenten Jemar Bethea will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 1:00 PM, at St. Paul AME Church, located at 1720 Bonsal Court, Dillon, South Carolina 29536.

Mr. Dequenten Jemar Bethea's final resting place will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Latta, South Carolina.

Bartell Funeral Home, LLC of Dillon, South Carolina, has been entrusted with all arrangements and professional services.
