A delicate rose was plucked from this earthly garden by the creator on Monday, January 27, 2020 at the MUSC Nursing Center, Mullins, South Carolina. Mother Allene Williams was born on January 20, 1918 in the Smithboro Community, Mullins, South Carolina to the late Joshue and Francis Davis.
At an early age she accepted God as her Lord and Savior and joined Effingham Baptist Church, Mullins, South Carolina where she was a faithful member until her health withered. Throughout her life, she embarked upon several careers which consisted of being a Domestic Engineer for many families, a sharecropper, and a childcare provider. Allene enjoyed children, gardening, fishing with her best friend ‘Flossie Leonard’ in her spare time, as well as being a grandmotherly pillar within the community.
She was preceded in death by her dear husband, Daniel Williams along with her siblings: Mary, George, Helen, Cushine, Sarah, and Monroe. From their union they reared a son and a step-daughter, the late Gracie Lee Tillman. Allene leaves her legacy of love ~ her son: Samuel Lee (Doris) Williams of Mullins, SC; four grandchildren: William Oneal Bridgett of LakeView, SC, Felicia Demetria Willams of Winston Salem, NC, Kenferd (Maria) Kareem Williams of Gilbert, AZ, and Ginger Rhashell Williams of the home; five great grandchildren: Eden York, Blaise Braedon, Harper Blaine Williams, Deante’ Oneal, and Myesha Latrice Bridgett, and an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends, and a multitude of caregivers.
May God Bless and strengthen your family. Keeping you in prayer. Minister Louie and Mrs. Willaette Perkins
