Mother Mae Ola McLeod was the daughter of the late Queenie and Coley Ford. She was born June 27, 1943 in Dillon, South Carolina. Mother Mae Ola McLeod went to Maple School on the “Quarter’s” Her first public job was at South of the Border, then Hamer Spinning Mill, Hamer, SC, the Revco Drug Store then the A and P grocery store. Last but not least Lockemy store where her health began to fail. Mother Mae Ola was preceded in death by both parents and four sisters, Mary Alice, Louise Rivers, Fraudie Mae Morrison and Queen Ester, three brothers, Charles, Bee Bee, and David Ford. Mother Mae Ola was joined in holy matrimony to Bishop Freemon McLeod and to this union eight children were born and one adopted son. Four preceded her in death, Pat, Joyce, Darrein and Tro. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband Bishop Freemon McLeod; four daughters, Linda Brown of the home, Cynthia Harlee, Dillon, SC, Frieda (Marvin) Harley, Harrison Township, Michigan, Catherine (Attorney Ronald) Foxworth, Lumberton, NC; adopted son, Drew Hardy McLeod of the home; twenty grandchildren, one special out of the twenty, Tiera Brown, God chose to place in the family to really be a special help to Bishop, Mother and Brightlight Church family; twenty-four great-grands and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Mother Mae Ola McLeod also have a host of God children, young men and ladies, one God sister, first Lady Daisy McArthur. Mother Mae Ola McLeod has been a member at various churches until God gave Bishop McLeod a vision, a Brightlight Vision in Seller, SC where mother Mae Ola McLeod taught the word there as well as in many other churches including the Radio on Sunday morning. Telling everybody about the goodness of God and doing something about your life and where you are going to spend eternity
