Mozella Daymon Johnson was born on July 9, 1956 to the union of Moses and Wilmure Daymon in Dillon, South Carolina. Mozella accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Bethel Presbyterian Church. Mozella received her formal education in the Dillon Public Schools. She was a stay at home mom for seven years. Then later became employed with Dillon District Four as a bus driver. She would later retire from this fulfilling profession in 2018. Mozella touched many lives of children while serving as a school bus driver for 30 plus years. Mozella developed a lifelong love for fishing and enjoyed this hobby with her mother, daughter and husband. Mozella Daymon Johnson departed this life on Friday, June 11, 2021. She was preceded in death by her baby girl: Shelly R. Johnson; her mother: Wilmure Daymon and her father: Moses Daymon. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband: Paul M. Johnson of Dillon, SC; her daughter: Amanda M. Johnson of Columbia, SC; sisters: Wilmure Spigner of Columbia, SC; (big adoptive sister) Betty Ruth of Latta, SC; one uncle: Joe Damon of Boston, MA; two aunts: Hilistine Dawson of Clinton, NC; Brucilla Jackson-Damon of Clinton, NC; one brother-in-law: David McLellan of Dillon, SC; two sisters-in-law: Carolyn and Sylvia Jean of Dillon, SC; special nieces: Olivia, Sierra, Schyne, Ada, Jessica and the Hines sisters; a special best friend: Georgia German; friends who were like sisters: Yvonne, Margaret, Doretha and Dorothy; two special neighbors who were also family: John and Sharon McGill; children who she treated like grandchildren: Kalea (Woo) Alani, Shamar and Jamyra; and a host of other relatives and friends.
