Obituary For Mr. Dearus McLean

Dearus McLean, son of Derrick McKellar and the late Janice McLean was born on July 24, 1999. He departed this earthly life on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon, South Carolina.

He attended Dillon County Public Schools. Dearus did what God required of him to do. During his time on this earthly life, he obeyed the word of Acts 2:38, being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ in receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost speaking in another tongue in June 2017, at New Bethel Apostolic Church under the leadership of Ella Blenn Oliver Lane in Dillon, South Carolina.

Preceding Dearus in death was his mother, Janice McLean; grandfather, Joseph McKellar and brother, Derrick McKellar Jr.

Dearus leaves to cherish his loving memories ~ his father: Derrick McKellar of Dillon, SC; five sisters: Quentasia McKellar, Nikema McInnis, Carmell Brown all of Dillon, SC, Raven McKellar of Clio, SC, Corrian McKellar of Bennettsville, SC; two brothers: James McLean of Dillon, SC and J’Seria McKellar of Bennettsville, SC; grandparents: Martha (James) Manning of Dillon, SC, Le’Archie (Pearlean) McLean of Maxton, NC, Flora (Johnny) Grice of Dillon, SC; great grandmother: Roberta McLean of Maxton, NC; five aunts: Martha McLean, Gail Odom, Towanda McKellar, Marquita McKellar all of Dillon, SC; four uncles: Odarrell Brown of Macon, GA, Tykee McKellar, Tyrea McKellar both of Dillon, SC, Johnathan Grice of Latta, SC; god-mother: Tina Lloyd of Dillon, SC; a special friend: Omar Odom
